Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree

 YOU ARE HUGE !!!

So we headed to Schlitter Farms on the 4th of December with anticipation of picking out the perfect Christmas tree.  It was cold, and pretty late...but we were going to find our tree.  All Douglas firs were $25 ... no matter the size.  They told us there were only a few small ones left.  Ok.  We will find a decent sized tree and just trim it.   Oh my goodness.  There were no small trees left.  So we brought home the next best thing.  A 10ft - 11ft tree.  It didn't even fit in the garage.  We had to stand it up so the top went up into the attic.  What were we thinking.  Home Depot always has small trees. =)  Just kidding.  The tree is gorgeous and who knows when the next time we will be that we can have a huge tree.  The kids loved the tree farm, especially the mud.

Jeremy hard at work cutting down our tree.  He tried to bring the electric saw, but was turned around  by a huge sign that read NO electric saws.  So old school it was.  That's what we get for trying to be cheaters.

Poor Em's hands were getting cold.  I brought mittens but totally left them in the truck.  Good thing we are almost to next year.  Maybe I will earn MAMA of the year in 2012.

Such a pretty girl.  A little sassy . . . but gorgeous.

They melt my heart.  I fall in love with him over and over again everyday.  Especially when I capture and see the true love he has for his kiddos.  I love you with all of my heart and soul Jer. 

Good thing for the attic.  I just kept giggling...thinking oh my goodness...how are we going to get this tree in the house.

{ Remember that road in the beginning.  Yeah . . . about that.  There were tractors and trailers going around picking up trees to bring back to the barn.  We were as far away as we could go, no tractor in sight, Em crying, and we packed the tree out to the road.  It saved us about 40 minutes of wait time.  The couple next to us was just getting their tree wrapped as we left the lot. }
