We unfortunately found out the hard way the poor Kausten is allergic to Amoxicillian. He had a double ear infection and was taking the antibiotics for this, and on day 10 he developed some white bumps which continued to get worse. The poor little guy was miserable, swollen, and so, so itchy. The hives started on Sunday and by Wednesday we were on our way to the doctor to make sure we were doing everything possible for him. Aveno oatmeal baths, ibuprofen, and benadryl. The poor kid.
This was Monday night. The red areas had first started out as little white areas.
By Tuesday he was getting worse and his face was swollen and so were his hands and feet. We decided to call Madigan and try and get an urgent care referral. We saw Dr.Thompson in Sumas on the 31st. He was actually looking and feeling a 100% better on Wednesday.

Poor boy...it looks even worse in the pictures! He was quite a trooper through the whole thing!
Poor baby! Was there anything you could do for him, could he have benadryl? On a lighter note, when's he gonna get his first hair cut? James didn't have enough hair till recently - I think I got it cut the end of October or November. It made him look like such a big boy. I would not want to cut Kausten's though and cut those baby curls :-( It's gettin long though :-)
