Since Jeremy didn't get home til the 23rd and then we headed home to see family, we did our family Christmas a little late. Kausten enjoyed all of his presents from everyone, and it was nice to take our time and open gifts as a family slowly so we could get some pictures.

He really got into tearing the paper. And he didn't want anyone to help him. Mister independent.
It was a little difficult to get Kausten to look at the camera and sit still, so here is the best family Christmas photo we got. Not bad if I say so myself.

1st attempt. right family, wrong dog. We were watching Nate and Jody's dog Butler and she really wanted in the photo.
Not bad. 2 out of three looking at the camera. And yes we tried to bribe Kausten with a candy cane. And no it didn't work.

Butler was just trying to help you get Kausten to look at the camera...or did Kausten already have the candy cane? If so, nevermind, she was trying to take the kids food!!
