While Michelle was down for a visit, we went to the zoo with the kids. It was a perfect day. It started out raining and then was a little overcasted, but beautiful all the same. The boys rode in the wagon, thanks to Jody whom we borrowed it from, and Makayla rode in the stroller. We had an awesome time and the kids did so well for missing naps and eating on the go. Don't mind the runny noses, both boys seemed to pick up a cold that morning.
Kausten loved touching the statue of the gorilla. He just giggled and kept touching it.
Michelle and Aiden checking out the hippos.
There was a petting zoo and area for kids to run around a play. Here Aiden is milking the cow.
And petting the goat. He was so cute. He was worried about being bit by the goat. His Grandma Vandentop has a goat that bites, so that is why he kept asking.
Aiden is to funny. He was looking at the animals and climbing on the fence, when he saw I had the camera he asked me to take his picture.
By the end of the zoo the animals were no longer doing it for Kausten, so we brought out the books and empty water bottles. He was much more entertained with this than the animals.
The bears were amazing and very active.
Kausten and I at the end of the day.
Beautiful Makayla. Look at those big blue eyes.
And all three kids together for one last photo at the zoo. No one really smiled, but they were all looking up.
